Clean Slate SAMPLE SIZE Emulsifying Facial Scrub - Charcoal, Tea Tree, Clary Sage, Peppermint Essential Oils...
Clean Slate Emulsifying Facial Scrub - 2.5-ounce SAMPLE SIZE!
Do it clean! Activated charcoal & a blend of tea tree, clary sage, peppermint, lime & lavender essential oils
Prone to oily skin & breakouts? Tired of stripping your skin red & raw with harsh cleansers? Clean Slate is stuffed full of ingredients that will make your face happy! My nourishing, coconut-free Sorbetto formula gets all mixed up with activated charcoal & a green, herby blend of essential oils to gently but thoroughly clean even the oiliest of skin. A healthy drizzle of skin-friendly oils ensure that you aren't left feeling like you got scraped with a wire brush. I formulated Clean Slate mainly as a facial scrub, but it's mild enough to use on your whole body.
Emulsifying Facial Scrub is a luxuriously soft, gentle sugar scrub, fortified with nourishing rice bran, grape seed, apricot kernel & jojoba oils. Massaged into wet skin, it emulsifies into a light, creamy lotion that gently cleanses, polishes & moisturizes, leaving you feeling deliciously soft & smelling wonderful :) I've adjusted this recipe from my usual Sorbetto formula, so you'll notice a much softer texture & more gentle cleansing. A little goes a long way, & I advocate scrubbing your face no more than 2-3x a week. In between, try my Clean Slate, Nihilist or Second Breakfast Hot Process bars.
Now you can take your favorite Paintbox Sorbettos on the go in handy 2.5-ounce sample sizes, perfect for pockets, purses & carryons! They also make excellent any-day gifts & stocking stuffers. This listing is for a handy 2.5 ounces of emulsifying facial scrub, blended by hand in small batches with no SLS/SLES, parabens, propylene glycol, -cones, animal products, coconut oil or shea butter (for my sensitive customers). I don't whip my scrubs, so you get a jar packed with product, not air. I pack Emulsifying Facial Scrub in a recyclable plastic jar, with all ingredients clearly labeled for your peace of mind:
Sucrose (Sugar), Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sorbitol, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Sodium Chloride (Salt), Phenoxyethanol & Tetrasodium EDTA (paraben-free preservatives), Activated Charcoal, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Oil, Salvia sclarea (Clary Sage) Oil, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint), Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil
Since I work in small batches, you may notice slight variations in color from jar to jar. To prolong the life of your Emulsifying Facial Scrub, keep it tightly sealed & avoid introducing excess water to the jar. A clean plastic spoon is ideal for scooping out just the right amount :) Please use Emulsifying Facial Scrub within 3 months of opening, & discontinue use if irritation occurs. I specifically blend Emulsifying Facial Scrub not leave a greasy film, but it may leave your tub a bit slippery, so do be careful :)

Here's the thing: I hate peppermint. I really hate it, so I was super hesitant to try this. But I also have ridiculous skin that is simultaneously dry and oily and still breaks out like a friggin' teenager (hint: I am nowhere near my teens) so I'll try almost any skincare product once. Thank all the gods and little fishes I tried this one. It exfoliates with irritating. It cleans without over-drying. And that peppermint? Perfectly balanced by the other scents. Buy this supernatural product. You will not regret it.
Also I keep saying this in all my reviews, but I love these sample sizes. It lasted weeks and really let me see how the product would affect me.
One Scrub To Rule Them All

This one goes into my silver bullet collection. It is potent stuff and gets all the oil, sweat, dirt, and grime off my face without irritating it, turning it red, or drying it out. For reference, I have sensitive combo skin that borders on dry and suffers from occasional hormonal acne. Like the previous reviewer, I generally use Buttercup but needed something stronger due to our abnormal heat and humidity and Clean Slate is perfect. It does indeed leave your skin super clean without stripping it.

I've been pretty loyal to the Buttercup facial scrub since I discovered it last year, but with the gross heat & humidity of this summer I wanted something with a little more oomph. This was it. Now I have something that's great for summer (Clean Slate) and one for winter (Buttercup).
