Dance of the Hares Hot Process Soap
Wild rabbity musk, tender roots, & damp smoke drifting through echoing woods
The air is still raw & chilly deep in the woods, under the towering trees, but a rustle in the underbrush hints at spring to come... Crows chatter faintly in the distance, & you scrunch further into your hiding place, pulling your jacket close around you against the chill seeping up through the ground. You can just smell smoke on the air, someone burning brush in the valley, & you wish for the warmth of that fire, but you are patient and still as the roots that plunge into the damp soil underneath you. Suddenly, a pair of long ears pops through the undergrowth, twitching like little brown radar antennae. There is a scuffling, a thumping, then one, two, three lithe brown rabbits scuttle into the clearing, sniffing at the tender shoots pushing up through wet leaves & scooting about in paroxysms, leaping into the air & over each other's backs, tumbling & snorting to shake off winter's chill & dive headlong into the electric joy of spring...
This listing is for one (1) enormous 5-ounce bar of hot process soap, made from scratch by me in my own workshop. If you find glycerin soaps a bit too drying, this is the bar for you. I've spent several months developing a coconut- & shea-free, vegan formula that lathers beautifully & is packed with nourishing vegetable oils & butters. I make my hot process soap in small batches, & allow each batch to cure for 3 weeks to ensure a firm, mild bar. Each hand-cut bar measures 3x3x1 inches, & weighs approximately 5 ounces.
As always, your soap will arrive hand-wrapped in cellophane, with all ingredients clearly labeled for your peace of mind:
Olive Oil, Palm Oil, Water, Organic Carrot Juice, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Mango Seed Butter, Castor Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Avocado Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Fragrance Oil, Organic Gluten-Free Oats, Iron Oxide, Mica
Since I work in small batches, you may notice slight variations in color from bar to bar. Hot process soap has a marbled, natural appearance. Streaks, swirls & blobs are all part of the charm, & in no way affect the quality of your soap :)
