Hammocks & Holystones Cold Process Sea Salt Bar - Lime, Lemon, Salt Water, Sun Bleached Wood... Limited Edition, Coconut-Free Formula
Hammocks & Holystones Cold Process Sea Salt Bar
Fresh lemons & limes, saltwater waves & sun bleached wood
Come on, you scurvy dogs! Hammocks & Holystones is my tribute to that godfather of maritime literature, Patrick O'Brian: tall ships, dazzling seas, Aubrey, Maturin, & my favorite coxswain, Barret Bonden. It's a warm, breezy citrus blend, underscored by worn sandalwood & a trace of salt-soaked linen, perfect for scrubbing you clean after a long hot day. (Warm grog & ship's biscuit not included.)
Ready for a whole new soap experience? Salt bars are a soap aficionado's dream, hard & heavy like river stone with tight, conditioning lather. Showering with a good salt bar leaves your skin silky & gently exfoliated, like you've just come home from a day playing in the surf!
This listing is for one (1) enormous 5.5-ounce bar of cold process, coconut-free sea salt soap, made from scratch by me in my own workshop. I've spent several months developing a coconut- & shea-free, vegan formula that lathers beautifully & is packed with nourishing vegetable oils & butters. I make all of my soaps in small batches, & allow each batch of salt bars to cure for 6 weeks to ensure a hard bar that lasts for ages. Each rustic bar measures 2.75x2.75x1 inches, & weighs approximately 5.5 ounces.
As always, your soap will arrive hand-wrapped, with all ingredients clearly labeled for your peace of mind:
Sea Salt, Organic Palm Kernel Oil, Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Mango Seed Butter, Rice Bran Oil, Fragrance Oil, Green Chromium Oxide
Since I work in small batches, you may notice slight variations in color from bar to bar. This is all part of the charm of hand made products, & in no way affect the quality of your soap :)

The scent is light, refreshing, and energizing, and the lather is so silky in counterpoint with the slightly scrubby bar. It's really kind to my skin, I even ended up using a previously ordered bar on my face in a pinch a while back and it was not only gentle enough, my stubborn acne took a hike for a while.
