Smoky Jack Hot Process Soap - Pumpkin, Roasted Marshmallow, Wood Smoke... Weenie Limited Edition
Smoky Jack Hot Process Soap
Warm pumpkin, roasted marshmallows, sweet bonfire smoke & glowing coals
Few things get us giddier than the onset of the autumn camping season. Beautiful views, chilly mornings, starry nights, roaring campfires... Smoky Jack is the scent of Halloween taken back to the woods. Rich, layered pumpkin gets enveloped in sweet wood smoke, with a vanilla-scented puff of toasted marshmallow. Not too sweet, but unmistakably autumn, Smoky Jack will have everyone thinking you spent the weekend carving jack-o-lanterns & dancing in the firelight...
This listing is for one (1) enormous 5-ounce bar of hot process soap, made from scratch by me in my own workshop. If you find glycerin soaps a bit too drying, this is the bar for you. I've spent several months developing a coconut- & shea-free, vegan formula that lathers beautifully & is packed with nourishing vegetable oils & butters. I make my hot process soap in small batches, & allow each batch to cure for 3 weeks to ensure a firm, mild bar. Each hand-cut bar measures 3x3x1 inches, & weighs approximately 5 ounces.
As always, your soap will arrive hand-wrapped, with all ingredients clearly labeled for your peace of mind:
Olive Oil, Organic & Sustainable Palm Oil, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Water, Organic Pumpkin, Mango Seed Butter, Castor Oil, Organic Palm Kernel Oil, Avocado Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Fragrance Oil, Activated Charcoal, Mica
Since I work in small batches, you may notice slight variations in color from bar to bar. Hot process soap has a marbled, natural appearance. Streaks, swirls & blobs are all part of the charm, & in no way affect the quality of your soap :)
What the heck is hot process soap, anyway? Learn more at my blog: http://paintboxsoapworks.wordpress.com/2012/02/01/so-whats-this-hot-process-thing/
It's not Halloween without Smoky Jack

Especially if you're in the south where it has yet to go below 70 at night, sometimes you need a smell that transports you to a crisp night at a bonfire to really believe it's Weenie season.
(I still miss Smiling Jack, though!)
Moisturizing lather, heady scent of pure fall

This concoction is a work of genius. The scent takes me back to bonfires and hayrides and fields full of pumpkins. The smoke tempers the sweetness of the pumpkin and marshmallow notes. In the hot process soap, the smokiness advances more but the warmth of the pumpkin comes out when you lather it. This is the pumpkin soap for the daring and complex person.
