The Crofter's Bar Hot Process Soap - Sticky Patchouli, Black Tea, Cocoa... Coconut-Free Formula
The Crofter's Bar Hot Process Soap
A dense, dark slab of sticky patchouli & freshly-dug peat, slaked by black cocoa & brisk tea leaves
Thick & black like the soil of the north country, The Crofter's Bar is a patchouli-lover's dream, earthy & rich & wild. With the tannic freshness of black tea & a veil of bittersweet chocolate lurking in the shadows, you've got a scent that is strangely edible, almost like dark prunes, & totally unique. I've added a wee dash of finely ground tea leaves at the end for a satisfying bit of scrub...
This listing is for one (1) enormous 5-ounce bar of hot process soap, made from scratch by me in my own workshop. If you find glycerin soaps a bit too drying, this is the bar for you. I've spent several months developing a coconut- & shea-free, vegan formula that lathers beautifully & is packed with nourishing vegetable oils & butters. I make my hot process soap in small batches, & allow each batch to cure for 3 weeks to ensure a firm, mild bar. Each hand-cut bar measures 3x3x1 inches, & weighs approximately 5 ounces.
As always, your soap will arrive hand-wrapped in cellophane, with all ingredients clearly labeled for your peace of mind:
Water, Olive Oil, Palm Oil, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Mango Seed Butter, Castor Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Avocado Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Fragrance Oil, Camellia Sinensis (Tea) Leaves, Sugar, Cocoa Powder
Since I work in small batches, you may notice slight variations in color from bar to bar. Hot process soap has a marbled, natural appearance. Streaks, swirls & blobs are all part of the charm, & in no way affect the quality of your soap :)

A Patchouli Lovers Dream

This soap is beautiful. I LOVE Patchouli, so I'm very happy that it's strong and thick. It's earthy and herbal, but not dirty (if that makes any sense). The Patchouli is prominent, but you can also pick up on the cocoa and tea. It really helps to balance everything. It's perfect!
