- The Mari Lwyd Shaving Soap - Frozen Seaweed, Wool, Salt Water, Thyme... Yuletide Limited Edition
Product Description
The Mari Lwyd Shaving Soap
Frozen seaweed, hand spun woolens soaked in salt water, the rattle of chalk white bones, & a foolish sprig of thyme
There's a clattering at the door one dark December eve, & you'd best be ready with your wits about you! The Mari Lwyd, ghostly white & adorned in ribbons, stands at the threshold, challenging you to a battle of rhymes! Best the grey mare in verse, or you must allow her in, to be plied with food & drink as she rolls her ghostly eyes at you & cavorts about the room, snapping her bony jaws & giving chase to the children! When she's had her fill of your offerings, the Mari Lwyd & her merry company depart to seek fresh opponents, stamping down the frozen lane towards the bay & the harbormaster's cottage, garlands & wool scarves streaming behind them in the wet night...
This listing is for a generous 4-ounce round of my luxurious glycerin soap, fortified with ultrafine bentonite clay for a smooth, comfortable shave. I use a hefty, round mold that sits handsomely in a shaving bowl, or you can lather up with your hands. The end result? Huge, stable lather, great slip & delicious scents to get you soft, smooth & ready for action. I hand cast in small batches with no SLS, propylene glycol, parabens, animal products or other funny stuff! Most of my fragrances are phthalate-free, too. My bars produce gorgeous, abundant lather & have unique scents that cling gently to your skin. You'll be left feeling clean & smelling fantastic.
I hand-wrap each bar in cellophane, with all ingredients clearly labeled for your peace of mind:
Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerin (kosher, of vegetable origin), Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (moisturizer), Sorbitan oleate (emulsifer), Oat Protein (conditioner), Bentonite, Titanium Dioxide, Mica
Since I work in small batches, you may notice slight variations in color from bar to bar.
