Product Description
Black Sun Shaving Soap
White flecks of foam and open ocean swells giving way to the quiet chill of the timeless deep
A sun-warmed, serpentine blend of dragon's blood, smoked oud, sticky guaiac wood, & red cedar
The sun rode high, a blinding disc in a white hot sky. The ground shuddered, and a gritty blast of heat & air battered the villagers, like smashing open the bake oven in a windstorm. They cowered, struck down by chaos & noise as the dragon, huge and terrible, burst from the sand, beat its wings, and clawed its way into the air. The smell of it assailed the senses, thick with sticky resins and charred wood, airborne spices, and the darkness of ancient caves hidden beneath the desert. It was blackness thrown into the heavens, screaming and snake-like and primordial, blotting out the very sun. But just as suddenly, it was gone, leaving nothing but a gentle vacuum in the ears and a sweet haze of smoke...
This listing is for a generous 4-ounce round of my luxurious glycerin soap, fortified with ultrafine bentonite clay for a smooth, comfortable shave. I use a hefty, round mold that sits handsomely in a shaving bowl, or you can lather up with your hands. The end result? Huge, stable lather, great slip & delicious scents to get you soft, smooth & ready for action. I hand cast in small batches with no SLS, propylene glycol, parabens, animal products or other funny stuff! Most of my fragrances are phthalate-free, too. My bars produce gorgeous, abundant lather & have unique scents that cling gently to your skin. You'll be left feeling clean & smelling fantastic.
I hand-wrap each bar in cellophane, with all ingredients clearly labeled for your peace of mind:
Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerin (kosher, of vegetable origin), Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (moisturizer), Sorbitan oleate (emulsifer), Oat Protein (conditioner), Fragrance Oil, Bentonite, Titanium Dioxide, Mica
Since I work in small batches, you may notice slight variations in color from bar to bar. New to a good old fashioned wet shave? The guys at The Art of Manliness won't steer you wrong: http://artofmanliness.com/2008/01/04/how-to-shave-like-your-grandpa/
