"Comfort & Joy" is the sweetest fragrance I've tried from PBSW this holiday season. Despite the description, it is not a spicy or overly gingery fragrance. I can't detect any wine notes, but that could just be my teetotaler nose refusing to pick them up. It seems less like fresh-baked gingerbread and more like sitting in a comfy chair after the party is over, cleaning up the last crumbs from the cookie plate. As such, I really do find it comforting. It's gentle and relaxing, and a very good scent to use at bedtime. It sticks close to the skin, and leaves a lingering sweetness for a very long time.
All Paintbox Soapworks slips manage to be both highly moisturizing and light, absorbing into the skin very quickly and providing a lovely, lasting dewiness. I can use touch screen almost immediately without leaving streaks. A small amount goes a long way, and I keep several of the "Sample Size" bottles on my nightstand so I can pick a different scent every evening to match my mood. They are excellent all-purpose lotions.
