"D'you hear me, sprog? Don't go near the water!" Giggling, you wriggle your tiny body deeper into the bulrushes at the edge of the quiet river. You are not quite five years old, dizzy with the thrill of escaping the grown-ups' watchful eyes. There's a bend here, and the current slows to a lazy crawl, perfect for frog spotting and minnow grabbing. The mud squishes up between your toes, and you push further into the tall weeds, surrounded by layers of green that dance in the sunlight. There's a slap & a splash, & the sudden smell of lime candies, and you lunge forward in curiosity, sinking up to your thighs in deep, choking bur-reeds. You hear a quiet, hungry hiss behind you as you struggle in the weeds that grow ever tighter around your legs, and you begin to cry in panic. Suddenly warm, strong arms pluck you from the water and you are cuddled & carried back to the safety of the shore. "There now, didn't I say? Creeping Jenny nearly got you! She'll pull you under and drown you before for know it!" You watch from over broad shoulders as something dark and wet slips sullenly back into the weeds.

This listing is for one (1) chunky 3.75-ounce bar of hot process soap, made from scratch by me in my own workshop. If you find glycerin soaps a bit too drying, this is the bar for you. I've spent several months developing a coconut- & shea-free, vegan formula that lathers beautifully & is packed with nourishing vegetable oils & butters. I make my hot process soap in small batches, & allow each batch to cure for 3 weeks to ensure a firm, mild bar. Each hand-cut bar measures 3x3x1 inches, & weighs approximately 3.75 ounces.

As always, your soap will arrive hand-wrapped in cellophane, with all ingredients clearly labeled for your peace of mind:

Since I work in small batches, you may notice slight variations in color from bar to bar. Hot process soap has a marbled, natural appearance. Streaks, swirls & blobs are all part of the charm, & in no way affect the quality of your soap.
