Product Description
Let Me in at Your Window Shaving Soap
Strong black tea with whisky & cloves, dark-as-night patchouli, & the uncanny tapping of rose geranium & oakmoss on drafty windowpanes
Evening descends quickly out on the moors, the glorious golden hour giving way to the grey chill of twilight in the blink of an eye. The old house, with its thick stone walls & gaping fireplaces, should feel like a refuge against that shadowy expanse, but tonight the wind slips unfriendly fingers through all the gaps, stirring the drapes & unsettling the dogs. A cup of smoky tea with a little something stronger clatters in its saucer, the windows creak in their panes, and you know that somewhere out in that darkening expanse, a gaunt figure in red dances, undulating and hypnotic, beautiful & terrible. She has been roaming the wild hills for an age, desperate to find her long-dead love, knocking at doors in the darkness, begging to be let in. Do not listen.
This listing is for a generous 4-ounce round of my luxurious glycerin soap, fortified with ultrafine bentonite clay for a smooth, comfortable shave. I use a hefty, round mold that sits handsomely in a shaving bowl, or you can lather up with your hands. The end result? Huge, stable lather, great slip & delicious scents to get you soft, smooth & ready for action. I hand cast in small batches with no SLS, propylene glycol, parabens, animal products or other funny stuff! Most of my fragrances are phthalate-free, too. My bars produce gorgeous, abundant lather & have unique scents that cling gently to your skin. You'll be left feeling clean & smelling fantastic.
I hand-wrap each bar in cellophane, with all ingredients clearly labeled for your peace of mind:
Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerin (kosher, of vegetable origin), Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (moisturizer), Sorbitan oleate (emulsifer), Oat Protein (conditioner), Fragrance Oil, Bentonite, Titanium Dioxide, Mica
Since I work in small batches, you may notice slight variations in color from bar to bar. New to a good old fashioned wet shave? The guys at The Art of Manliness won't steer you wrong: http://artofmanliness.com/2008/01/04/how-to-shave-like-your-grandpa/
