Frost hung thick on the deer's shaggy coats, and their breath came in plumes lit like fire by the sun as it crept blazing from the gap in the mountains. They stamped their sturdy hooves in the fresh snow, tossing heads and setting bells jingling on their wide harness collars. It was time, the deer knew, and they danced impatiently. From the dense stand of trees came a low call, and the scrape of the sledge, and twelve pairs of antlers snapped to attention. He stepped into the edge of the field, shaking a fur-lined hood over his bare head, and in his mittened hands he held out clumps of fresh, pungent mint, which brought the deer jostling around him. They nosed roughly at his shoulders and pulled playfully at his dull red cloak, at which he chuckled and wrestled with them for a moment before relinquishing his offered gift of greenery. The deer champed happily for a few minutes while he patted their backs and ran his hands down their fetlocks and turned his rosy face to scan the brightening skies. "Well, friends," he said, "Shall we set to it?"

This listing is for one (1) chunky 3.75-ounce bar of hot process soap, made from scratch by me in my own workshop. If you find glycerin soaps a bit too drying, this is the bar for you. I've spent several months developing a vegan, coconut- & shea-free formula that lathers beautifully & is packed with nourishing vegetable oils & butters. I make my hot process soap in small batches, & allow each batch to cure for 3 weeks to ensure a firm, mild bar. Each hand-cut bar measures 3x3x1 inches, & weighs approximately 3.75 ounces.

Since I work in small batches, you may notice slight variations in color from bar to bar. Hot process soap has a marbled, natural appearance. Streaks, swirls & blobs are all part of the charm, & in no way affect the quality of your soap.
