Too often, skin care takes the slash & burn approach, over cleansing, over stripping, over scrubbing & leaving you raw, red & somehow even dryer & oilier than when you started. Get out of that cycle & start treating your face right with my trio of gentle, affordable skin care products. This listing is for three (3) 2+ ounce samples of my three classic skin care products, blended by hand in small batches with no SLS/SLES, parabens, propylene glycol, -cones, synthetic fragrances or shea butter (for my sensitive customers). I also include a sample tablet of one of my face-appropriate hot process soaps for you to try!

Prone to oily skin & breakouts? Tired of stripping your skin red & raw with harsh cleansers? Clean Slate is stuffed full of ingredients that will make your face happy! My nourishing, coconut-free Sorbetto formula gets all mixed up with activated charcoal & a green, herby blend of essential oils to gently but thoroughly clean even the oiliest of skin. A healthy drizzle of skin-friendly oils ensure that you aren't left feeling like you got scraped with a wire brush. I formulated Clean Slate mainly as a facial scrub, but it's mild enough to use on your whole body. Emulsifying Facial Scrub is a luxuriously soft, gentle sugar scrub, fortified with nourishing rice bran, grape seed, apricot kernel & jojoba oils. Massaged into wet skin, it emulsifies into a light, creamy lotion that gently cleanses, polishes & moisturizes, leaving you feeling deliciously soft & smelling wonderful :) I've adjusted this recipe from my usual Sorbetto formula, so you'll notice a much softer texture & more gentle cleansing. A little goes a long way, & I advocate scrubbing your face no more than 2-3x a week. In between, try my Clean Slate, Nihilist or Second Breakfast Hot Process bars.

Poesy Complexion & Linen Mist - A pretty poesy for your pretty face! Sweet rose & lavender with herbaceous rose geranium to soothe & hydrate stressed winter skin... I was lucky enough to procure a trio of gorgeous hydrosols, or flower waters, from one of my favorite vendors over the holiday, & I'm sharing them! Hydrosols are the liquids leftover from the distillation of essential oils - they retain the original botanical's scent & properties, but in very mild concentrations, making them ideal for applying directly to the skin. I use my hydrosol blend every morning, misting it over my face before applying my moisturizer. This helps add a little oomf to my moisturizer, & feels so good on winter-parched skin. It's lovely, too, in the summer, as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up! You can also mist it over your sheets & lace-edged handkerchiefs, if you're feeling particularly Edwardian... "Poesy" is a lovely old word for poetry, after all. I selected a range of balancing, soothing hydrosols for this blend, those that benefit all skin types. I did aim for a blend that's particularly helpful for problematic, um, "middle-age" skin. You know, that glorious combination of acne & wrinkles that pops up in your 30s? Yeah, that nonsense :/ *Please note that Poesy contains NO PRESERVATIVES. Keep your bottle away from extreme temperatures, & use it up within 3 months of purchase.* To use, mist gently over face & neck, taking care to close your eyes & mouth. Hydrosols are very mild, but please discontinue use if you experience any irritation. And don't drink Poesy, no matter how tempting.

I searched long & hard for a lotion formula that would moisturize without leaving a greasy, messy film. Slip is light-weight enough to apply on the go, but it hydrates & softens for hours.
