Product Description
221B Shaving Soap
A thoroughly masculine blend of aged leather, warm tweed, Earl Grey tea, tobacco, ale, & gun oil
After the chase, the fight, the plunge into the Thames, it helps to have a few cozy rooms to come home to. Equal parts Englishman & Fusilier, 221B smells of stolid masculinity, wool suiting, leather bound books, tea, & a clutter of revolver parts & tobacco leavings, because Mrs. Hudson is many things, but she is definitely not your housekeeper.
This listing is for a generous 4-ounce round of my luxurious glycerin soap, fortified with ultrafine bentonite clay for a smooth, comfortable shave. I use a hefty, round mold that sits handsomely in a shaving bowl, or you can lather up with your hands. The end result? Huge, stable lather, great slip & delicious scents to get you soft, smooth & ready for action. I hand cast in small batches with no SLS, propylene glycol, parabens, animal products or other funny stuff! Most of my fragrances are phthalate-free, too. My bars produce gorgeous, abundant lather & have unique scents that cling gently to your skin. You'll be left feeling clean & smelling fantastic.
I hand-wrap each bar in cellophane, with all ingredients clearly labeled for your peace of mind:
Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerin (kosher, of vegetable origin), Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (moisturizer), Sorbitan oleate (emulsifer), Oat Protein (conditioner), Fragrance Oil, Bentonite, Titanium Dioxide, Mica
Since I work in small batches, you may notice slight variations in color from bar to bar. New to a good old fashioned wet shave? The guys at The Art of Manliness won't steer you wrong: http://artofmanliness.com/2008/01/04/how-to-shave-like-your-grandpa/
