Kid A Hot Process Soap - Raw Goat Milk, Organic Carrot Juice, Orange and Cedarwood... Coconut-Free Formula
Product Description
Kid A Hot Process Soap
Orange, cedarwood, litsea cubeba, & clary sage essential oils, raw goat milk, organic carrot juice, & scrubby poppy seeds
(Get it? Kid A? Goats & carrots?)
When my local organic farmer asked if I wanted some raw goat milk, I'm pretty sure this isn't what he intended me to do with it... But goat milk makes a gorgeous bar of soap, mild & creamy with fantastic lather. I've added organic carrot juice & black poppyseeds to this batch as well, & scented it with a nearly-edible blend of orange, cedarwood, litsea & clary sage essential oils. The end result is a sweet & woody orange scent, rich gentle lather, & a satisfying stuttery scrub.
This listing is for one (1) chunky 3.75-ounce bar of hot process soap, made from scratch by me in my own workshop. If you find glycerin soaps a bit too drying, this is the bar for you. I've spent several months developing a coconut- & shea-free, formula that lathers beautifully & is packed with nourishing vegetable oils & butters. I make my hot process soap in small batches, & allow each batch to cure for 3 weeks to ensure a firm, mild bar. Each hand-cut bar measures 3x3x1 inches, & weighs approximately 3.75 ounces. As always, your soap will arrive hand-wrapped, with all ingredients clearly labeled for your peace of mind:
Olive Oil, Palm Oil, Water, Goat Milk, Organic Carrot Juice, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Mango Seed Butter, Castor Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Avocado Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Agave Nectar, Citrus Reticulata (Mandarin) Oil, Juniperus Virginiana (Virginia Cedarwood) Oil, Litsea Cubeba Oil, Salvia Sclarea (Clary Sage) Oil, Poppy Seeds
Since I work in small batches, you may notice slight variations in color from bar to bar. Hot process soap has a marbled, natural appearance. Streaks, swirls & blobs are all part of the charm, & in no way affect the quality of your soap :) What the heck is hot process soap, anyway? favorite soap EVER!
Posted by Violet Gloom Art on Mar 24th 2016
This is my all time favorite soap. The scent is mild, comforting, and just very gently sweet. I also love that the scent doesn't really linger with this soap, so on days when I'm using a different scented scrub or on the rare occasion when I wear perfume, it doesn't interfere. The bar is solid and heavy with a wonderful lather. The poppy seeds do aggravate my contact dermatitis, I usually scrape the raised seeds off the soap with my thumbnail before using it to minimize the red welt lines it leaves on my skin otherwise, but still totally worth it for this soap. I adore this soap. So. Much.
