Product Description
Second Breakfast Hot Process Soap
Just a little something to fill in the corners. Peregrine Took would approve, I think.
A soothing & nourishing bar, packed with the makings of a fine breakfast: finely ground organic, gluten-free oatmeal, local wildflower honey, & a generous slosh of local grass-fed goat milk. I've dusted a bit of ground cinnamon & nutmeg between the layers to accentuate the soap's natural scent - warm, sweet & toasty. Second Breakfast makes a wonderful facial soap, & is perfect for delicate complexions that are irritated by fragrances & essential oils.
This listing is for one (1) chunky 3.75-ounce bar of *unscented* hot process soap, made from scratch by me in my own workshop. If you find glycerin soaps a bit too drying, this is the bar for you. I've spent several months developing a coconut- & shea-free formula that lathers beautifully & is packed with nourishing vegetable oils & butters. I make my hot process soap in small batches, & allow each batch to cure for 3 weeks to ensure a firm, mild bar. Each hand-cut bar measures 3x3x1 inches, & weighs approximately 3.75 ounces.
As always, your soap will arrive hand-wrapped, with all ingredients clearly labeled for your peace of mind:
Olive Oil, Organic & Sustainable Palm Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Mango Seed Butter, Castor Oil, Water, Goat Milk, Organic Palm Kernel Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Avocado Oil, Sodium Lactate, Organic Gluten-Free Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Meal, Honey, Cinnamomum Zeylanicum (Cinnamon) Bark, Myristica Fragrans (Nutmeg)
Since I work in small batches, you may notice slight variations in color from bar to bar. Hot process soap has a marbled, natural appearance. Streaks, swirls & blobs are all part of the charm, & in no way affect the quality of your soap.

Perfect for when you want a hint of spice scent. For me, this one has no chance of scent fatigue because it’s just the actual spices scenting it without fragrance oils. So it just smells very pure and simplistic in the best way. I held the bar out to my friend without comment and he sniffed it, eyes widening, and excitedly said “is that… cinnamon oatmeal??”
I love the hot process soaps from Paintbox. They wash off so easily without being harsh or not cleaning enough!
I cannot stand the feeling of anything greasy on my palms or fingertips, so I wash my hands frequently. I also cross stitch and have to keep my hands very clean for that. For those very quick washes, I just wet my hands slightly and run them over the bar of soap which is laid flat on a dish with one of those draining pads. That probably oh, 6-10 times a day plus several thorough hand washes each day and one of these bars has lasted about 8 months. I’ll be using this one as a shower soap so I expect it to go faster but still that’s exceptional longevity. Even with my weird washing habits these aren’t very drying although I’m a big fan of using lotion (usually applied to the backs of my hands). When i slack on that i’ll get some amount of dryness with any soap, and this one never stings or hurts. -
Skin calming amazingness

So, I bought a bar of this a year ago on a whim. I had previously just rinsed my face in my morning shower and started using this in addition. It made my skin smoother and calmed the redness of my acne scarring. Then I got some soap from a friend and used that - and the miracle slowly faded. Finally used up the friend soap (cannot waste soap!) and ordered another bar of this - the miracle has resumed! My face is less red and just healthier looking.

Boil ‘em, mash ‘em, stick ‘em in a stew! Use on your face, your hands, your….other parts! Wonderful for all of them! Gentle but cleansing, little to no scent, wonderfully creamy lather, and long lasting. My hands down favorite!
