The Cartographer Wasp Hair & Perfume Oil - Varnished Oak, Benzoin, Cassia, Vanilla Oud...
Product Description
The Cartographer Wasp Hair & Perfume Oil - NEW!
Varnished oak inlaid with shining brass, caramelized benzoin, a dry hum of cassia, & blackened vanilla oud
The wasp worked, glossy body curled over the delicate map tacked carefully to the floor with dots of resin. Around it, the heat and thrum of the hive made the air thicken and the pulse jump, but still it labored, its glossy stinger scratching gently against the paper's grain. Occasionally, it paused, plucking at compass and calipers, antennae giving a calculated twitch, before returning stinger to ink, ink to paper. If the colony were to survive, even thrive in this new land, its memories must be preserved. The maps must be remade.
Based loosely on the award-winning short story The Cartographer Wasps & the Anarchist Bees by E. Lily Yu
It's only taken me ten years, but your PBSW dreams have come true: a whisper-light, -cone-free hair oil formula meets luxuriously lush perfume oil for a full-body PBSW experience! Daikon radish extract is an amazing alternative to traditional silicones, providing silky shine & skin-feel without build-up or environmental concerns, Meadowfoam seed oil provides excellent scent retention plus a massive dose of antioxidants, meaning your PBSW scents will stick around both in the bottle & on your skin. Argan & jojoba oils team up to treat your hair, your scalp, & your skin with gentle moisture, & a tiny drizzle of isopropyl myristate keeps things from getting greasy. Your favorite PBSW blends, made from quality, vetted, phthalate-free synthetic fragrance oils & essential oils, are added at a percentage that gives delicious throw without the risk of dermal irritation or gassing your coworkers out of the elevator.
The end result? A light-as-air powerhouse oil blend that delivers your favorite PBSW scents without dripping, smudging or spilling, in a sleek bottle that's ready for your bag or pocket but pretty enough to display!
To use as a hair oil, roll lightly into the palm of your hand, then apply with your hands or fingers as desired. For best results, concentrate on the ends of your hair, rather than the scalp.
To use as a perfume oil, apply directly to pulse points, taking care to avoid irritated, broken, or inflamed skin. I always recommend testing a small amount on the inside of your elbow before committing to a full slathering. Discontinue use if irritation occurs; please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
This listing is for one (1) .3 ounce glass roller bottle of hand made hair & perfume oil, blended by hand in small batches, with oil resistant labels, & shrink wrapped for your safety.
As always, all ingredients are clearly labeled for your peace of mind:
Raphanus Sativus (Radish) Seed Extract, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Fragrance Oil, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil, Isopropyl Myristate, Tocopherol
Keep away from direct sunlight & extreme temperatures, & use within three years of purchase.

Perfect vanilla
Posted by Unknown on Nov 12th 2024
I like vanilla but I have trouble finding vanilla fragrances are balanced. Usually, vanilla is either sweet fluffy like a cake or powdery like my grandma's perfume. I think I may found a vanilla is actually balanced. Cartographer Wasp is warm and cozy without any cloying sweetness.

Hot Vanilla in the Study

Smells like having a hot vanilla in the study on a cold night. Not too sweet. Not too woody. This night is just right.

Deep, rich vanilla

I love this scent as a perfume and a scrub, each note in the description really comes out. It's a non-gourmand vanilla with deeper notes (maybe the oud?). It leaves a wonderful, clean fragrance on your skin.

Yeah, Ten Stars If I Could

I kind of want my entire life to smell like this. You think I'm kidding? As I type this, I'm trying to figure out how to buy everything (EVERYTHING) in this scent without breaking my budget.
It's a lovely spicy, sweet, warm vanilla. The oak and the oud keep this from turning into a gourmand, balancing the sweet notes with a woody bite. I've used it as a hair oil and it does a fantastic job at taming and softening my thick hair, while providing gentle wafts of fragrance throughout the day. As a perfume, it's strong enough for you to get wisps but won't knock over the person next to you (a plus or minus, depending on you strength preferences -- I prefer to keep my perfumes subtle).
It's basically what my dream library would smell like: old books, wood, and golden hour.
