Waking the Witch is a blend for the night of the soul, shapeshifting from dark sticky incense to jammy fruit & dry tea, through a cloud of heady florals & back to warm coals & woodsmoke. It's the smell of gathering revelations, of plans revealed, of lines crossed & power embraced. It's deep & wild & not here to please anyone but the stars as they whirl overhead.

It's only taken me ten years, but your PBSW dreams have come true: a whisper-light, -cone-free hair oil formula meets luxuriously lush perfume oil for a full-body PBSW experience! Daikon radish extract is an amazing alternative to traditional silicones, providing silky shine & skin-feel without build-up or environmental concerns, Meadowfoam seed oil provides excellent scent retention plus a massive dose of antioxidants, meaning your PBSW scents will stick around both in the bottle & on your skin. Argan & jojoba oils team up to treat your hair, your scalp, & your skin with gentle moisture, & a tiny drizzle of isopropyl myristate keeps things from getting greasy. Your favorite PBSW blends, made from quality, vetted, phthalate-free synthetic fragrance oils & essential oils, are added at a percentage that gives delicious throw without the risk of dermal irritation or gassing your coworkers out of the elevator.
The end result? A light-as-air powerhouse oil blend that delivers your favorite PBSW scents without dripping, smudging or spilling, in a sleek bottle that's ready for your bag or pocket but pretty enough to display!
To use as a hair oil, roll lightly into the palm of your hand, then apply with your hands or fingers as desired. For best results, concentrate on the ends of your hair, rather than the scalp.
To use as a perfume oil, apply directly to pulse points, taking care to avoid irritated, broken, or inflamed skin. I always recommend testing a small amount on the inside of your elbow before committing to a full slathering. I took a risk and bought this blindly and I’m glad i did because I’m obsessed! It’s sweet and smokey without being overwhelming but more than anything, it’s nostalgic and reminds me of my old bedroom in my late teen years- incense, candles lit in darkness, and the night breeze blowing the scent of jasmine and tree blossoms in from the backyard. I’ve been wearing it a couple hours and I’m impressed by its longevity so far.
My boyfriend also tried it and he was instantly taken in. In his words “this smells like a fusion of the natural and spiritual worlds, like a homey mystic shop you’d find in a mountain town in Colorado a long time ago” -

I've bought this scent in several of the products, it's one of my favorites, especially for Fall and Winter. But I wear this scent year-round - it's sexy, mysterious, and intoxicating. I find it reads more incense-y on me, but not heavy or cliche.

Smells just like walking into your local occult shop: abloom with smoke, herbs, flowers, incense, mystery, and a sprinkle of magic. Rich and intoxicating but not too heavy; it enchants and summons but also emits the vibe that those who cross the wearer may be cursed.

In the autumn, there's so much to do in the orchard and in the garden. I might be scurrying around with dirt under my nails and a list of chores that never seems to end, but at the end of the day, this scent makes me feel like a queen of the season.

I hope this is never discontinued! I finally made my way through my first vial and had to repurchase. It is a devastatingly perfect scent. Witchy, but not overpowering, and so sophisticated. I wear it alone or layered with Le Labo Oud 27.

Oil as good as the soap!

I've been buying Paint box soap for years & I finally decided to branch out into other products & I'm so glad that I did! I needed a new everyday scent to dab onto my pulse points & I got to say this stuff is awesome. The scent really stays with you all day without being over powering. I highly recommend hair & perfume oil.

My sibling's all-time favorite scent! I purchased it for myself but didn't find the scent fit me as well as The Queen is Dead. I passed it on to my sibling who adores it, and they made it through three quarters of the bottle before losing it at the gym. They were so heartbroken to have lost it that I ended up buying them a replacement. Really beautiful wine-y apple, tea and incense. It smells great on them.

This has been one of my favorite scents from Paintbox for awhile in bath streusels and soap, and I have wanted a perfume oil, and I'm very happy with it now that I have it! I love dark, smoky scents like this, and it goes so well with the apple. It's wonderful.
