Product Description
Causeur de Mer Shaving Soap
Sky blue hyacinth, scented tobacco flowers, ambergris & seafoam
Clear blue eyes dancing like the sun on the sea, white gulls wheeling overhead, and the scent of spring flowers on a crisp breeze... Causeur de Mer, "flirts with the sea", is proof that aquatic blends aren't just for summer. I wanted to capture that feeling of the first cliff walk of the spring, when everything is dazzling and fresh after a long grey winter. The ocean foams on the pebbles below, minerally and cool, but the sun is warm on your cheeks and there's a lilt in your step, and maybe there's a sprig of flowers in your hair all of a sudden and your heart leaps as you turn to see a familiar face in a whole new way...
This listing is for a generous 4-ounce round of my luxurious glycerin soap, fortified with ultrafine bentonite clay for a smooth, comfortable shave. I use a hefty, round mold that sits handsomely in a shaving bowl, or you can lather up with your hands. The end result? Huge, stable lather, great slip & delicious scents to get you soft, smooth & ready for action. I hand cast in small batches with no SLS, propylene glycol, parabens, animal products or other funny stuff! Most of my fragrances are phthalate-free, too. My bars produce gorgeous, abundant lather & have unique scents that cling gently to your skin. You'll be left feeling clean & smelling fantastic. I hand-wrap each bar in cellophane, with all ingredients clearly labeled for your peace of mind:
Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerin (kosher, of vegetable origin), Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (moisturizer), Sorbitan oleate (emulsifer), Oat Protein (conditioner), Bentonite, Titanium Dioxide, Fragrance Oil, Mica
Since I work in small batches, you may notice slight variations in color from bar to bar. New to a good old fashioned wet shave? The guys at The Art of Manliness won't steer you wrong: http://artofmanliness.com/2008/01/04/how-to-shave-like-your-grandpa/
